Wine with guaranteed appellation of origin.
This wine is produced from the traditional Bulgarian grape variety Shiroka Melnishka Loza ((Broad Leaved Vine of Melnik), grown in the controlled micro region between the villages of and Vinogrady (about 5 miles from the city of Melnik), where the soil is light and sandy. The technology used requires prolonged aging in barrels and casks. The character of the wine is firm, but elegant and harmonious. The wine is expected to reach its potential in 2 to 3 years after it has been bottled, but it is suitable to drink right away as well. Best enjoyed at room temperature. It marries well with all kinds of meet dishes and cheese.
